Hot off the press .... Nissan xtrail and meat pie. The series is starting to take shape. The hills hoist cloth lines with the Australian flag, Ned Kelly and the Big Pineapple prints nearing completion. Just two more images to go to complete the series of six.  I think it is going to be a very strong series both graphically and conceptually.

Ned Ned you are better of dead!

This muliti block, relief print in an edition of 15 was produced for Serendipity, an exhibition at the Perc Tucker Regional Gallery in Townsville. The dates of the exhibition are 6^th January – 29^th January. So if  you happen to be in the area over christmas please drop in. Prints will be available for sale at the gallery. 

Self Portrait

The exhibition Looking in the Mirror was an a little confronting. I was one of group of six New England artists asked to paint self portraits in the actual gallery. Self

portraits from NERAM's permanent collections hung opposite where we were working. Artists from Ester Paterson who painted her portrait in 1935, to Brett Whiteley's work of 1972. These paintings and drawings provided a contrast and inspiration. 

 Australia Day 2010 was spent in the aircon at NERAM drawing Aussie Icons on a hillshoist. No flys, beer and sausages to be anywhere. This is my first blog post and a great place to start.
